Startup Champions from Puerto Rico to Map An Entrepreneurial Future for Latin America and the Caribbean at GEC+Puerto Rico

Registration is open for GEC+Puerto Rico, a can't-miss gathering of founders, investors, entrepreneurship ecosystem builders, policymakers, researchers and other startup champions. Co-hosted by the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN) and the Puerto Rico Convention District Authority, the event will focus on an ambitious roadmap for a more vibrant and thriving economy. Puerto Rico Space Foundation in collaboration with Tu Carrera Primero & HAIPRIORITY are arranging a delegation of entrepenuers & startup champions to Build Puerto Rico as the Caribbean Space Hub & participate in the Space Business Plan Hackathon.

Attendees will convene under the theme of Vision 2035: An Entrepreneurial Future for Latin America and the Caribbean – laying out a new framework, driven by innovative programs and policies, for a Latin American economy positioned for exponential growth that aligns with its culture and rich history. This vision will build on the optimism of entrepreneurs to drive action on new ideas at the intersection of the most diverse economies within the region.

The program will feature the following content pillars:

• V35: The Vision, Roadmap and Frontier Technologies Driving the Industries of Our Future  What industries and trends are shaping the global landscape and where should Latin American economies focus – and not focus – their time and investment?
• Leave No One Behind: Entrepreneurial Ecosystems Thrive When All Are Included  How can each ecosystem capitalize on its diverse communities and unleash exponential growth by ensuring there are opportunities for all?
• Getting to Work: Programs and Policies to Support Today  What are the specific actions that governments, communities, entrepreneurial support organizations, investors and entrepreneurs can take starting today?

Through discussions, practical training, networking and collaborative sessions, attendees will:

• Gain a deeper understanding of the trends shaping the global economy and where Latin America should focus to leverage and lead on these trends – including a clearer understanding of AI in the Latin American context, such as family business applications, AI safety and its implications for inclusion.
